Parking
A visitors pass is required to park on campus. A pass may be obtained from Public Safety (1812 Illinois Street). Golden has free street parking (anything north of 13th Street).
What Is Available To You?
- Any Library materials-books, journals, maps, etc.-for use in the Library. Most areas of the library are accessible during business hours. There are exceptions, most notable the Mining History Archive which is by appointment only.
- Public computers may be used by anyone. The majority are located on Floors 1 and 2. The computers are intended for Internet use and do not have Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, etc.
- Most of our electronic databases and journals are accessible from our public computers. If you want to save articles, we recommend a flash drive.
- Staff assistance. We are here to help and that includes our visitors.

Are you a resident of Colorado?
- Yes. Ask how you can become a member at the Front Desk, by email, or by phone (303-273-3698). Cost of membership.
- No. Sorry, memberships are not available to out-of-state residents.
What does your membership get you?
- Ability to check materials out of the Library. More about your privileges.
- Use of Prospector (regional catalog) to request materials from other Colorado and Wyoming libraries.
- Access to interlibrary loan service (note there is an additional fee).
