How to Use the Mining History Archive


  • Archive shelves are "closed" to users. Library staff will retrieve materials for you.
  • Materials must remain in the Archive Reading Room, and don't circulate.
  • Users:
    • Fill out a User Registration Form.
    • Present a valid picture ID on request.
    • Use only paper, pencils, and personal electronic devices.
    • Leave all carry-ins at a designated area in the Archvie on request.
  • Duplication:
    • Duplication is subject to copyright restrictions and the physical condition of the item.
    • No self-service photocopying.
    • You must obtain permission in advance to use your own camera. Some restrictions may apply.
    • Order digital copies via the Library's Digital Initiatives for-fee service.
